Dr. Tezla discovered ancient writings and inscriptions that lead him to the discovery of Highway 35. Also in the ancient writings, there is mention of the Wheel of Power - an unlimited supply of clean energy. Dr. Tezla fails his attempts to get the Wheel of Power by using automated means so he organizes the World Race to send professional drivers onto the extra-dimensional Highway 35.

Dr. Tezla seems to be the owner of the Scrim Corporation which may have been the organization behind the development and manufacturing of the necessary racing technologies (vehicles and Nitrox2). Whatever the relationship between Tezla and the Corporations, its clear that he is the mastermind behind it all.

Dr. Tezla is a mysterious man who always seems like he has sinister intensions below the surface. So much so, it was a major factor in Kurt Wylde's attempts to sabotage the World Race to prevent Dr. Tezla from getting the Wheel of Power. In the end, Dr. Tezla is convinced that the Wheel is too powerful and that it should be returned from where it came from - so he couldn't be all that bad right?

The voice of Dr. Tezla is played by Michael Donovan (who is also the voice director).
