There's some confusion out there regarding the name of RD-L1's vehicles in the movies. If you look at the following sources, you'll see what I'm talking about:

▪ The die cast RD-08 is RD-L1's first car in the movies
▪ The die cast RD-05 is RD-L1's second car in the movies
▪ The card game RD-05 is RD-L1's first car in the movies
▪ The card game RD-08 is RD-L1's second car in the movies
▪ The Ignition Virtual Car Gallery RD-05 is RD-L1's first car in the movies
▪ The Ignition Virtual Car Gallery RD-08 is RD-L1's second car in the movies
▪ The Cartoon Network's RD-05 is RD-L1's first car in the movies
▪ The Cartoon Network's RD-08 is a picture of RD-03 (obviously a mistake)
▪ The Cartoon Network's desktop download for RD-L1 features RD-08 in the background and it is the first car he drove in the movies

Mattel (RD-06 vs. RD-10) and The Cartoon Network (RD-08 vs. RD-03) have both shown the capacity to screw up car names, so there's really no completely reliable source. Also, you never hear or see either vehicle referred to by name in the movies. So I guess its up to you to decide which name belongs to which car.

The desktop download and the actual die cast cars are pretty powerful sources, so I've decided to stick with those in the documentation (RD-8 is RD-L1s first car and RD-05 is the newer vehicle).
