RD-L1 (Racing Drones Lieutenant 1) is Gelorums chief driver. A skilled and aggressive driver, he's been motivated to not lose with treats of deactivation from Gelorum.
Parts of RD-L1 are shared with the vehicles they drive.
Through the first three AcceleRacers movies, you see only one RD-L1. Its not until the Ul;timate Race do you see more than one in one place - several are seen attacking the AcceleDrome. Also in the mini-episode Ruins Realm 3.3, during the flashback to the when the Racing Drones come to Earth, you see multiple RD-08s (driven by RD-L1s).
The voice of RD-L1 is played by Mark Oliver.
