In Breaking Point, when Dr. Tezla goes into the Neon Pipeline Realm, he is clearly wearing a helmet while driving. If you look at the reflection on his hand when he pushes a button on the steering wheel, you will see him without the helmet.
Interesting side note: Also notice the Silencerz symbol on the steering wheel.
